Endocrinology

Expert medical care for complex diabetes and hormonal health.

At SET Health, our Endocrinology service provides specialist care for people living with diabetes and other hormone-related conditions. Endocrinologists are medical doctors who specialise in the body’s hormone systems — particularly those that control metabolism, blood sugar, growth, reproduction, and energy balance.

When diabetes management becomes more complex or difficult to control, an Endocrinologist plays a vital role in achieving stability and preventing complications. They provide expert diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication optimisation, including fine-tuning insulin therapy, reviewing advanced technologies such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and addressing related conditions like thyroid disorders, adrenal issues, and metabolic imbalances.

What an Endocrinologist Can Help With

  • Complex or difficult-to-control diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational)
  • Hormonal and metabolic disorders (thyroid, adrenal, pituitary)
  • Osteoporosis and bone health
  • Weight and metabolism management
  • Hormone imbalance, menopause, and testosterone deficiency
  • Diabetes complications and prevention strategies

A Holistic Approach to Hormonal Health

At SET Health, our Endocrinologist works collaboratively with our Diabetes Educators, Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists, Pharmacists, and Counsellors to ensure every aspect of your care is aligned. This team-based approach allows for consistent communication, coordinated treatment, and truly holistic care.

By addressing the connections between hormones, lifestyle, and overall health, we help you achieve not only better blood glucose control, but also improved energy, mood, and long-term wellbeing.
