On site Diabetes Education and Training
We create a training package specifically to the needs of the child.
We coordinate with the child’s parents, health care professionals, and the centre/school to create a training session that will prepare the staff to be able to care for the child with confidence.
All sessions are delivered on-site at the centre or school and are 100% hands-on. All Equipment that the child needs will be provided to practice with and contextualized resources are provided.
After the training, all staff will be issued with a 12-month certificate of competency for insurance purposes and PDP points.
One of the best services we provide is our one-on-one telephone assistance and guidance in the situation you have questions after the training. This is so useful that if you find yourself not knowing what to do in any situation you can talk with our trainer anytime.
SET Health operates during and out-of-office hours to suit your needs. Our prices are capped per group and we can deliver hands-on training on-site for up to 12-15 people at a time.

- The signs, symptoms and first aid management of hyperglycaemia and hypoglycaemia,
- Common complications of diabetes,
- How to read action plans and create your Risk minimization plan,
- Understanding blood glucose meters and what the information means,
- What are ketones and how do you test for them? As well as the first aid management,
- How to safely administer Insulin and the Hypoglycaemia Glucagon emergency injection,
- Operating and troubleshooting insulin pumps and continuous blood glucose monitoring devices,
- Comprehensive management of the condition in the education setting.
